Entrusted with ESPN’s Iconic, Coveted Annual Awards
Now approaching their 30th anniversary, the ESPY’s have long been recognized as the most watched sports awards on television. The annual ceremony, honoring athletic achievement globally, on both the professional and amateur levels, is renowned for its red-carpet trappings, stirring acceptance speeches, and most of all, its iconic brushed-metal award.
2022 ESPY Award recipients ranged from tennis’s Rafael Nadal, Major League Baseball’s Shohei Ohtani, and the NBA’s Stephen Curry, to Olympian Katie Ledecky and University of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

The Arthur Ashe Award for Courage: Recipients have included Robin Roberts, Bill Russell, and 2022 honoree Vitali Klitschko, former heavyweight fighter and current mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
The Pat Tillman Award for Service: Since its inception in 2014, this award has honored, among others, former Notre Dame basketball player and Purple Heart recipient Danielle Green, and Invictus Games gold medalist Elizabeth Marks.
